JPG were appointed to support Dencora in the delivery of a purpose-built Electric Vehicle (EV) Van Park. This strategically located site on the outskirts of Norwich provided 350 EV van spaces across a 7 acres site.

JPG has been involved in the development of the EV van park from scheme conception to the development build completion, working alongside the clients planning teams to secure planning permission for the facility and associated estate road.

JPG supported the application through the involvement of JPG’s Infrastructure and Geotechnical teams in the assessment and provision of Flood Risk and Drainage Impact Assessment and Desktop Geotechnical Assessments.

Our Geotechnical team provided services in undertaking the intrusive site investigation and through ground water monitoring and percolation testing providing suitable evidence to support the use of SUDs drainage systems.

Our Infrastructure team provided highway services to deliver the private access estate road and worked with the architectural team to maximise the developable areas within the site. JPG efficiently utilised the site and incorporated SUD’s features via the introduction of soakaways, rain gardens and proprietary treatment products to satisfy sustainability and ecological design responsibilities.

We provided design support to the construction team throughout the project duration, and the project was successfully completed within the 12-week construction period.
