David Allwood
Managing Director
David is Managing Director with overall responsibility for leading the director team and business operations of JPG.

A Chartered Structural Engineer with over 25 years’ experience within the construction and commercial property sector, David joined JPG in 2007 and has seen his career within the business progress initially from that of Project Engineer. This includes significant international experience gained throughout the middle east region, having previously lived and worked to establish the JPG office in The Sultanate of Oman as Country Manager.

David is highly experienced with a proven track record in the delivery of complex schemes from conception which include commercial, retail, leisure, education, and industrial projects. He is involved in the overall management and delivery of schemes from pre-tender to completion. David has experience on a wide range of structural systems from off-site construction to traditional steel and concrete techniques.

David's passion and commitment to excellence ensures that the JPG can do approach is never too far away.
Matthew Potter
Director
Matthew joined Jordan Pritchard Gorman in July 1988 as a trainee Structural Engineer. Matthew was appointed as an Associate of the practice in 2003 and, following a company restructure, became a Director in 2008.

Matthew has gained valuable experience whilst working on a broad variety of projects in the industrial, process, leisure, residential, retail and commercial sectors. Matthew is responsible for leading a team of Engineers, Technicians and Draughtspersons from concept stage through to completion and remains involved with the day to day running of the project.
Robert Redmond
Director
Robert joined JPG in 2016 having previously worked for both local and international consultancies.

Having started his career specialising in highways design, Robert has since expanded his core skills to include the understanding of drainage design to ensure that he can provide a service that encompasses the full range of Infrastructure design.

Robert is our Director with responsibility for leading the Infrastructure team. He has worked on a wide variety of residential, industrial, commercial and infrastructure projects taking designs through initial concept, planning, technical approval, construction and handover.

His mantra for the team is working closely with clients to understand the ‘what, why and when’ of their objectives to ensure delivery of the optimum engineered solution to meet their needs both practically and commercially.
Chris Harding
Principal
Chris is one of the 1988 foundation year members of JPG and having moved up through the ranks, he held the position of Managing Director from 2010 through to 2024.

Being an advocate for the independence of the JPG team in the era of global consultancies, Chris has been instrumental in seeing the business through many successful phases of internal succession planning.

Having stepped away from the Board role, Chris is now employed within the business in the role of Principal, with his focus returning to the tasks he enjoys most, being the tackling of the many interesting engineering challenges presented to the team.

Chris dedicates much of his time to the redevelopment of strategic land, undertaking site appraisals and assessing any abnormal development constraints to ensure that all bespoke project challenges are fully understood from the outset.
Jon Shaw
Associate Director
Jon joined JPG in early 2022 as an Associate in our structural team and has recently been promoted to Associate Director.

A Chartered Structural Engineer, he has gained over 30 years of valuable experience within both small and large civil and structural engineering consultancies in retail, leisure, education, commercial, industrial, residential, energy and telecommunications sectors. He has worked on and successfully delivered a wide range of projects in both the private and public sectors, ranging from small refurbishments through to multi-million-pound large scale and multi-storey developments. Jon believes in a proactive and collaborative approach to design and project management and ensuring that the needs of the client are fully understood. He has experience of working on several projects where specific client design requirements and performance criteria have been critical. Jon is responsible for leading a team of Engineers and Technicians from concept stage through to completion and is involved in the day to day running of the projects.
Reuben Mew
Senior Associate
Reuben joined JPG in 2008 and has recently been promoted to Senior Associate and heads up the Geoenvironmental team for JPG.

Reuben has carried out numerous geoenvironmental ground investigations for residential, commercial and mixed-use developments. He has produced many Desk Study Reports and Factual and Interpretative Geoenvironmental Ground Investigation Reports, which include Environmental Risk Assessments and Engineering Assessments for the proposed development. Reuben also has extensive experience of producing the required documentation in order to satisfy the requirements of the Local Authority and their consultees. This includes the provision of Remedial Strategy Reports, Validation Reports and Coal Mining Risk Assessments.
Jonathan Millar
Associate
Jonathan joined JPG in 2018 and is an Associate jointly heading up our infrastructure team.

He has over 20 years’ experience in designing and detailing of earthworks, site levels, drainage, highways and external works. Jonathan’s design specialism is drainage infrastructure, but he is equally comfortable working on the highways design side. During this time, he has worked across a wide range of sectors including domestic housing, commercial, industrial, retail and leisure, healthcare and for the water industry. He has extensive experience in the industrial and logistics sectors having been involved in the design of several large manufacturing facilities and numerous logistics warehousing developments from concept site layout through to detailed design.
Jim Wilson
Associate
Jim joined JPG in 2018 as Principal Geotechnical Engineer and was promoted to Associate in 2022.

He is a graduate civil engineer and has spent the last 15 years specialising in the geotechnical and geoenvironmental sectors, working for both local consultancies and Leeds City Council, where he was previously Geotechnical Group Engineer. Jim is skilled in Land Condition, Geotechnics, Ground Engineering, Earthworks, Environmental Engineering, Remediation and Site Investigation. He has worked on a wide variety of residential, industrial, commercial and infrastructure schemes, from initial site assessment and Desk Study Reports, through to Geoenvironmental Investigation Reports, Remedial Strategies and Validation Reports. He is a Chartered Scientist and Member of the Institution of Environmental Sciences. He has contributed to the Ciria Abandoned Mine Workings Manual (C758D, 2019) and recently was on the NHBC technical panel for Building on Fill.
Adam Bradley
Associate
Adam joined JPG in 2025 having previously worked for a number of Transport Planning and Civil Engineering consultancies over the last 18 years.

Adam is responsible for leading JPG Transport Planning and is experienced in the production of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Access Appraisals and Travel Plans for a broad range of land uses. He has gained a vast amount of knowledge and experience whilst delivering a wide range of projects at all stages of the planning process for developments around the UK.

Adam is experienced in the production of feasibility studies and highway design as well as the production of transport modelling and scheme assessment utilising LinSig and Junctions modelling package, he can also provide advice on parking, access and road safety as necessary.

Adam works closely with clients to ensure that proposals meet their needs and to secure planning permission.
Jordan Steel
Associate
Jordan joined JPG in 2026 as an Associate in the Structures team having worked in the industry for 10 years.

Jordan has worked in the industry across multiple sectors including healthcare, education, student and private residential, and office/retail. With this range of experience, he has contribute to projects by solving problems by thinking outside the box.

Jordan prides himself in being a proactive member of the design and management team, working collaboratively and building strong relationships with peers, clients and site teams to ensure a high level of trust and work practically to deliver the clients brief.
Caroline Dixon
Company Secretary
Caroline joined JPG in 2011 to head up JPG’s Administration Team having previously worked in various government departments and for the BBC.

Caroline was promoted to Company Secretary in 2018 and is responsible for the financial management of the Company and all aspects of human resources as well as the day-to-day running of the office.
