JPG were appointed to support our client Marshall Group in delivering a 2-unit industrial development providing 105,000 sq ft of industrial floorspace in Oldham, Manchester.

JPG have been involved in the development of this scheme, sited off Cobalt Way, Oldham for several years and have developed the scheme from conception to the development build completion.

The JPG Geotechnical team provided services in scoping and undertaking the intrusive site investigation, and provided factual and interpretive reporting. Working in collaboration, JPG’s Strategic Land and Geotechnical teams developed a commercially and environmentally efficient earthwork strategy, re-engineering the existing ground and utilised all existing on-site material.

JPG’s Infrastructure teams provided highway services to deliver a Section 278 road improvement scheme to Oldham Councils adoptable standards, and developed an internal private development access road.

Working with Oldham’s Local Lead Flood Authority, JPG designed the development to maintain and enhance the function of an open water course feature dissecting the site.

JPG’s structural engineering teams delivered foundation solutions, structural design, and provided ongoing structural support throughout the duration of the build.

JPG provided contract administration service within the site preparation contract for this development and attended site regularly to achieve practical completion.
