Works are underway in the latest phase of refurbishment works for our client Braime Pressings Ltd at their facility on Hunslet Road in Leeds where JPG Group have provided Structural Engineering services.
As one of Leeds’ much renowned Grade II listed manufacturing buildings the original structure is required to be replaced to suit the new recladding operation and support the new PV panel array.
This latest phase involves the full replacement of the original roof structure whilst still being fully operational below. Aqib Fiaz, Senior Engineer for JPG said “Given the building’s heritage, it was essential to retain the appearance of the façade to the existing clerestory building over the main entrance. This requirement was carefully considered during the design of the new trusses to ensure that both the original roof geometry and overall appearance is preserved”
