JPG provided civil and structural engineering services for a refurbishment project to create a new delivery station with van parking at grade.
The two existing industrial buildings on site was refurbished to create a single unit delivery station. The structural works included forming openings to link the buildings and reconfiguration of the bracing system to form new openings. New external docks were formed which included a building extension, retaining walls and new dock ramp.
The external areas were formally used by the logging industry as a storage facility. Earthworks were undertaken using on site materials to form the van parking areas and additional concrete hardstandings. SuDS features were introduced, with surface water attenuation provided in the form of a detention basin.
