Chris Harding and the Directors oversee the team of civil, structural and geoenvironmental engineers. The team have extensive experience in the design and site monitoring of all types of construction work, from large civil engineering projects and multi occupancy sites to small and medium sized projects. The directors operate as the main point of contact for every project, ensuring close coordination between the client, design team and contractors.
Chris Harding
Chris is Managing Director of the business and manages a strong team of fellow Directors, Engineers and Technicians, across all disciplines. Chris is equally comfortable assessing both complex building structures or challenging civil engineering infrastructure projects. He also personally directs the business through some of the more specialist services it provides, such as, traffic assessments, flood risk assessments, geo-environmental investigations or expert witness and auditing commissions. Chris has extensive experience in the design and site monitoring of all types of construction work across a wide range of sectors. Chris dedicates much of his time to the development of strategic land, site appraisals and the assessment of abnormal development constraints to ensure that all bespoke project challenges are fully understood from the outset. Chris’s message to the JPG team is the taking of personal ownership at all levels across all project challenges from inception through to successful completion.

Andrew Fairburn
Andrew is the Director responsible for the civil engineering team. Andrew joined JPG in 1995 as an Engineering Technician and was responsible for the designing and detailing of foundation and sub-structure drawings, together with the overall management of projects from pre-tender to completion. In 1999 Andrew chose to specialise in the designing and detailing of highway works and drainage systems and subsequently, Andrew’s responsibilities have grown considerably and in 2001 he was promoted to the position of Senior Engineer overseeing the Civil Engineering team within the company. As part of the company’s ongoing growth, Andrew was selected to join the management team and in 2003 he became an Associate and subsequently was appointed Director in 2008.

Kevin Baker
Kevin is a Director with responsibility for one of our structural teams. Since joining the construction industry Kevin has gained considerable experience on a wide variety of projects. Kevin joined JPG in 1996 as Senior Engineer. In 1999 after a company re-structure Kevin was appointed Associate. In April 2003, after being part of the management structure at Associate level for some time Kevin became a Director. Kevin has experience in the design and monitoring of site preparation earthworks, infrastructure works, such as highways and foul/surface water drainage systems. He also has experience in the design and site monitoring of all types of construction work including retail parks, office blocks, cinemas and telephone switch centres.

Kim Han
Kim is a Director with responsibility for one of our structural teams. Kim joined JPG in 2000 and was made Associate in 2001 and Director in 2003. Kim’s early career involved the structural design of superstructures for the coal and gas power station industry in the Yorkshire region. During this period Kim was seconded to Laing Civil Engineering for 15 months to work on the construction of the Sizewell ‘B’ Nuclear Power Station in Suffolk. Kim has extensive experience in structural design works within the leisure and retail industry, out of town office/industrial park developments, high-rise apartments, offices, hotel buildings and schools. Kim’s experience includes steelwork, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry structures.

David Allwood
David joined JPG in 2007 having previously worked for other local consultants. David has recently been promoted to Director with the responsibility for the London and Southern Region. David is an experienced engineer having successfully delivered numerous Commercial, Retail, Leisure, Education and Industrial Projects. He has been involved in the overall management and delivery of schemes from pre-tender to completion. David has experience on a wide range of structural systems from modular and offsite construction to traditional steel and concrete techniques and has a firm working knowledge of current design practices and various construction forms. In addition David has significant international experience having previously established and managed the JPG Middle East office in Oman for a number of years.

Mathew Potter
Matthew joined Jordan Pritchard Gorman in July 1988 as a trainee Structural Engineer. Matthew was appointed as an Associate of the practice in 2003 and, following a company restructure, became a Director in 2008. Matthew has gained valuable experience whilst working on a broad variety of projects in the industrial, process, leisure, residential, retail and commercial sectors. Matthew is responsible for leading a team of Engineers, Technicians and Draughtspersons from concept stage through to completion and remains involved with the day to day running of the project.

Kevin Wheldale
Kevin is an Associate within one of our structural teams. Kevin’s early career was with a steel fabricator based in Leeds and following on from this, Kevin joined the Ministry of Defence’s construction arm and spent 15 years working on a variety of MOD projects including new runways, hangars and associated military infrastructure works. Kevin then moved back into the private sector and in his position of Associate, Kevin is responsible for leading a team of Engineers, Technicians and Draughtspersons from concept stage through to completion and remains involved with the day to day running of the project.

Reuben Mew
Reuben joined JPG in 2008 and has recently been promoted to Associate and heads up the Geoenvironmental team for JPG. Reuben has carried out numerous geoenvironmental ground investigations for residential, commercial and mixed-use developments. He has produced many Desk Study Reports and Factual and Interpretative Geoenvironmental Ground Investigation Reports, which include Environmental Risk Assessments and Engineering Assessments for the proposed development.
Reuben also has extensive experience of producing the required documentation in order to satisfy the requirements of the Local Authority and their consultees. This includes the provision of Remedial Strategy Reports, Validation Reports and Coal Mining Risk Assessments.
