JPG were appointed to carry out Civil and Structural Engineering services by Commercial Development Projects for the new 500,000ft2 Poundworld warehouse next to Poundworld’s existing head offices in Normanton, West Yorkshire.

The 30-acre plot is part of a 180-acre business park located off Junction 31 of the M62, which is rapidly growing in popularity due to location and transport links. The plot developed by JPG involved the re-engineering of circa one million tonnes of coal measures strata to create the development plateaux.

Design includes the design of foundations, 70 dock levellers, ground floor slabs, all external works including drainage and attenuation, service yards with recycling point, vehicle wash and fuel stations and car parking for staff and visitors to the site.

The site is currently being filmed using site eye technology to capture the build and transformation of the land.
