JPG were asked by Variety GB to make a dream into reality by helping as part of the team to build a new state of the art sensory room and trampoline area for Springwater School.
Springwater caters for the most profoundly disabled children, many of them have life limiting conditions. Although the school is in Harrogate, pupils get brought in from as far as Selby. They now cater for nearly 70 children all of whom have very specific needs, meaning any funding they get is quickly absorbed, for example, it is down to the school to pay for all the equipment each child needs which can be up to 5 or 6 pieces per child, often costing thousands per item.
Variety has pledged to raise funds to provide the school with a state of the art sensory room, a trampoline area and to address their lack of storage for all the specialist equipment. Thanks to a very generous donations made at the Yorkshire Business Awards this year and using the proceeds from the further fundraising event Crystal Ball Event earlier this year, Variety have now kick started this scheme.
JPG are part of the team who have donated their services and expertise alongside Edward Architecture, Quod, Re-Form Landscape Architects and HACS who are all on board working on this project.
