This month saw the installation of the final phase of this development with the new access footbridge being positioned into place. The project is nearing final completion and the new footbridge marks the last phase.
When complete this will provide 127,000m2 distribution warehouse for TJX who are the parent company for the popular designer discount stores TK Maxx.
The building is made up of a five span portal frame with the warehouse footprint dimensions 310m x 198m on plan, with an adjoining office pod and ancillary service buildings. The height to eaves is approximately 20m, giving room for a three-storey mezzanine spread over 70% of the building footprint and with the remaining space given over to high bay racking. JPG have designed concrete pad bases and with individual precast concrete driven piles supporting the internal mezzanine structure. The T K Maxx footbridge signals the final phase on the construction process.
