JPG raise money for Jeans for Genes Day

The JPG staff took part in Jeans for Genes fundraising day collecting a grand total of nearly £70.00 in donations from the team.

The money raised by businesses and schools on Jeans for Genes Day funds a range of initiatives that improve the quality of life of children and families affected by genetic disorders.

The money raised will help fund Genetic Disorders UK, the national charity dedicated to supporting families affected by genetic disorders.

JPG appointed for Poundworlds expansion

JPG were appointed to carry out Civil and Structural Design Engineering services by Commercial Development Projects for the new 500,000sq ft Poundworld warehouse next to Poundworlds existing head offices in Normanton, West Yorkshire.

The 30 acre plot is part of a 180-acre business park located off Junction 31 of the M62, which is rapidly growing in popularity due to location and transport links. The plot developed by JPG involved the re-engineering of circa one million tonnes of coal measures strata to create the development plateaux.

Design includes the design of foundations, 70 dock levellers, ground floor slabs, all external works including drainage and attenuation, service yards with recycling point, vehicle wash and fuel stations and car parking for staff and visitors to the site.

The site is currently being filmed using site eye technology to capture the build and transformation of the land.
